MRI/CT Scan Technologist

 

 

Responsibilities:
Operate specialized radiography equipment, i.e., Computerized Tomography and Magnetic Resonance (MRI) equipment to assist in the safe and efficient diagnosis and assessment of patient conditions, in accordance with established procedures. The ability to work independently and with a team. To promote reflective thinking critical and about patient management. Interview patient to obtain, verify, or update medical history. Acquire relevant medical information from

patient records, prior diagnostic studies, the scientific literature, and other health-care providers, and evaluate this information and its applicability to the patient's needs. Evaluate procedure for

completeness and diagnostic quality; recommend additional images as required; communicate initial observations to the radiologist. Administer local anesthetic; select and insert needle,

catheter, or tube to required location; collect fluids and measure pressures as needed; administer prescribed contrast; maintain aseptic environment throughout procedure. Perform office management functions, such as work scheduling for several employees, document procedure and record exceptions from established protocol .

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years experience in CT. Graduate of approved school of Radiology (Bachelor's Degree required). New Jersey State License in Radiologic Technology and ARRT Certification required.
